Hello and welcome to Revere. We’d like to give you a few tips on how everything works. If there’s anything you’re not sure about after you’ve read this guide, please give us a shout.
Taking a brief
A verbal brief should be delivered by the Client Services team in advance of a task, with a member of Revere’s copywriting team present on the call, if required. The Client Services team will organise this call. You should always be sent the brief beforehand to give you a chance to read it and ask any questions.
Accompanying information
As you won’t be able to access our server, the Client Services team should send all relevant supporting information to you via email or We Transfer. If there is any further information that you think will be useful, please ask the account team.
Templates
Revere’s copy template should be used when writing and submitting copy. Please ensure you’ve been sent this in advance and fill in the details in the header. A separate template exists for writing video scripts. Again, please request this in advance.
Checking in
1. If a task is scheduled to last for a day or more, you should check in to ensure that you have regular checkpoints/calls, to ensure that you have not deviated too far from the brief. You are of course free to ask questions at any time!
2. Please keep ALL work-related dialogue in Radar and refrain from using MS Teams or email to raise issues related to the task or any ‘back and forth’ comms. Reason: Radar allows us to see the status of each and every task across the entire agency and any work-related dialogue.
Your Collaboration Partner (at the top of each Radar task or Michael Cavanagh as your default Collaboration Partner, will give you feedback on the job, so please ensure that no work is submitted to the Client Services team until a Collaborator has reviewed/had sight of any work first, no matter how small/simple the task. Please factor in any time for review amends too. Please ensure that you and the Collaboration Partner fill in the Radar checklists, where appropriate.
Submitting work
Once completed, work should be sent via email to: Michael Cavanagh, Senior Copy Lead (michael.cavanagh@thisisrevere.com), copying in Jon Savidge, Traffic & Scheduling Manager (jon.savidge@thisisrevere.com)
Proof/check
A member of Revere’s copy team will then proof/check the work. If a copy team member was on the initial briefing call, it should ideally be that person who does the proof/check. Any amends will be marked up. Ordinarily, we then will save your work onto our server and will notify the Client Services team once done. They will then review the work separately.
Amends
As with any piece of work, amends may be required. Where necessary, these will be highlighted by the Client Services team and communicated to you so that the amends can be made.
